Top 11 things teen can read during quarantine


You may have been advised to do little things to enjoy yourself.Reading books would have been the no. 1 thing to take off all your tension during these times.But has anyone ever suggested you books? Reading books can take you places... Don't worry.. You will be still at your home. As an avid Book reader I have successfully curated a list of books for you all to read. Also, this is my FIRST blog! So, please shower me suggestions so I can improve myself! 

1)The Lockwood and co. Series: This book by Jonathan Stroud is sure to both spook and fascinate you. Usually, ghosts are considered associated with religion, but this book introduces you to the science side of the horror stories. This is a fictional story of some ghost hunters of the future, Anthony and Lucy and how they connect emotions with their business of hunting down ghosts. This book will keep you on the edge and you will definitely enjoy it!! 


2)Here,there,and everywhere: This book by Sudha Murthy has made it to this list because it can bring the sense of hope and thankfulness to everyone, which we desperately need in these times. The various experiences of Sudha Murthy is really worth your time and can teach you the value of time and respect. Each story tells a different story,through a different perspective, and is a really enjoyable book.


3) Devlok with Devdutt pattnaik:This book is an inspiration from a famous mythological show, which was written by the author Devdutt pattnaik himself. We need to use our precious time to know about our culture and also the God we worship, who are protecting us in these times.There are many other books written by the same author which are worthy for your time. The author has done his best by writing mythology as stories, and are incredibly knowledgeable.

4) Digital fortress:  This book by Dan Brown is a must for everyone who are seeking adventure in their life. By reading this book, you will also learn about many interesting facts, even if it is a fictional novel. The author has given such a vast knowledge of the field described in this book, that even you will feel like a professional! This book is full of twists and turns,and can make your head spin. Beware! You may get shocked repeatedly! 


 5) How to think like Sherlock Holmes: this book written by Daniel Smith is kind of like an activity book which enhances your ability to observe everything in your surroundings.This book has a beautiful explanation of how to find our sixth sense, and after all, who doesn't wants to be sherlock?


6) The Byomkesh  Bakshi series:This book series is originally written by the famous book writer, Saradindu Bandhopadhay, in Bengali. After learning how to think like Sherlock, why not read about another detective? The character,  Byomkesh, is sure to give you the feeling of inferiority. The way he uses his wits is applausable and will question your own curiosity about different things.


7) Mahashweta: This heart warming book by Sudha Murthy is a story about love and betrayal, happiness and sadness. This book makes you deep in thought she about your perspective about another people. It is a must read for all the fans of Sudha Murthy and for all those people who believe in the power of outer beauty. 



8) Goodnight stories for Rebel girls: The title may suggest you that this book are full of 'Good night stories' for 'Girls',but don't judge a book by its cover. This book is definitely an inspirational and fun stories for all the people worldwide. This book tells the tale of never giving up, and always believing in ourselves. 

9)Fantastic Beasts and where to find them: This is an another wonderful creation by JK Rowling, who wrote the very famous Harry Potter series. This book focuses on the the animals in the wizarding world, and welcomes a vulnerable yet powerful hero. Also, this book was written in a drama format, which showcases a beautiful writing. 

10)Malgudi Days: Your parents must have taunted you about their 'Good, old days'. Malgudi days, a compilation of beautiful stories written by RK Narayan, is sure to take you to those days, and make you fall in love with those times. These stories are sure to realize the goodness in innocence, love and ignorance too. 


11) Totto-Chan: This book is the journey of an innocent child, totto Chan. This book was originally written by tetsuko koreyanagi in Japanese.Children are very curious, and are incredibly blissful in the simple things. Anyone, who love kids, this book is a must read for them. Totto Chan can put a smile on anyone's face by her simpleness,and one must experience it. 


I hope you all like the books I recommended. Don't waste your time on just idle work, when something as simple as reading can be extremely relaxing, why waste your precious time ? Enjoy these books and stay at home, stay safe!
